ICP dossier / The Independent Retreat Owner-Operator

Multi-dimensional profile for the advisory ICP, assembled from the research on record. Ownership: owner, Vigilius's own site calls her "a representative of the owning family," and Gentleman Magazine states outright that she succeeded her father Ulrich as owner in 2023, corroborating rather than contradicting round 1..

Jobs to be done

job 1When a new operator inherits a Michelin Key recognition without a digital demand generation playbook, I want a systematic direct marketing program that converts recognition into demand, so that accolades compound into future bookings instead of going unused.
job 2When bookings leak to OTAs while there is no CRM to support a direct booking aspiration, I want a direct booking and guest relationship system, so that the resort keeps more margin and builds repeat guests instead of paying commission on every stay.
job 3When the arrival journey undercuts the resort's own signature moment, I want the arrival experience redesigned to build anticipation instead of breaking it, so that guests feel the payoff the property is built around from the first minutes on site.
job 4When the resort holds EarthCheck Gold certification that is not converted into commercial advantage, I want that sustainability credential turned into a marketable story and premium positioning, so that the certification pays back in bookings, not just in compliance.
job 5When leadership passed from her father to her in 2023, I want the staff and service culture carried successfully through the generational transition, so that the resort's culture is not put at risk by the change at the top. source
jtbd coverage noteAll five functional jobs come from the sales brief's condensed pain list, corroborated where possible by dossier facts about the 2023 generational handover. No register quotes exist for this subject and no direct quotation from Ingrid Ladurner appears anywhere in the dossier or brief, so emotional and social jobs are omitted for lack of voice evidence.

Team, Hiring and Leadership2026-07-14source

A new year begins, and it is a good moment to pause for a brief reflection on what has been and on what we have created together. 2025 was an exciting year for the vigilius mountain resort, a year in which we moved many things forward. We were once again awarded the Michelin Key from The MICHELIN Guide, our Chef Daniel Sanin and his team received two toques, we achieved the EarthCheck Gold certification again, thanks to Svetlana we welcomed an exceptional number of winemakers to the house, thanks to Michael we learned that water is not just water, with Hideki many discovered their creative side, a major article in Germany’s most widely read newspaper the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung brought strong visibility to our hotel, the Stube Ida was awarded two Falstaff forks, and friendships were formed that go far beyond everyday professional life. We increased our occupancy, became more international, and gained new friends guests, partners, and companions from around the world. A particular highlight was the Arena by Design Hotels, where international experts joined us and everyone felt the same thing our warmth, our genuine hospitality, and that special atmosphere that cannot be planned because it is created by people, by our team. For all of this, I would like to say thank you for the many special moments our guests were able to experience, for the courage to step out of comfort zones, for mistakes that became learning moments, and for choosing development over standstill. A very special thank you goes to Vera Dejori, a director who not only sees the needs of our guests but who connects people, listens, empowers, and consistently stands up for the team. We are not a perfect team, but we are willing to learn, to reflect, and to continue developing together. This is not about perfectionism, but about attitude, about heart, and about the shared path. Thank you to everyone who continues to walk this path with commitment, humanity, and solidarity.

A heartfelt thank you to Friederike Trudzinski and emotion Magazine for the insightful article “Does it stay in the family… or not?” “Working between two South Tyrolean hardheads isn’t always easy, yet my father remains my most important sparring partner.” This quote truly captures the unique blend of strength, respect, and occasional challenges that come with a family business, especially during a generational transition. Taking on the responsibility of leading a place as unique as the vigilius mountain resort, with its distinctive design and legacy, has been both rewarding and demanding. Balancing tradition with fresh ideas has made this journey incredibly special. It was a wonderful opportunity to share these reflections in the latest issue of "Working Woman". Don’t miss it – it’s truly worth a read! Thank you Franziska Unterholzner for the photo of my father and me!
