What I didn't realize was that, somewhere along the way, I had started relating to people through roles rather than relationships.
After a difficult period in business, I found myself carrying the same mindset into every conversation I was having; focused on outcomes, efficiency, and getting things done.
I remember a period where everything looked fine from the outside. Work was moving, decisions were getting made, things were "on track". But I wasn’t sleeping properly. I was waking up already tense. I told myself it was just a busy phase and that it would pass. But it didn’t.
You can keep functioning for a long time while something underneath is slowly building.
But strength can quietly turn into isolation. I’ve learned that when your identity is built on “I don’t need anyone,” you start carrying weight you were never meant to carry alone.
For a long time, I didn’t ask for help. Not because I didn’t need it, but because I had built an identity around being the strong one. The one who figures it out. The one who doesn’t break.
Coming from war, rebuilding my life in a new country, proving myself again and again… control felt safe, and achievement felt like protection.
And in my case it was because family stress situation combined with business distress and I landed with burn out and a heart attack in hospital.
I had my businesses scrambled because I couldn't focus so much or overworking managing family and stress and clients and and and all together.
We can consider the Swiss healthare system as one of the best in the world. And I still believe so, but it's still very technical. It's technical in a way because it's not tailored to your needs. You have to go to one specialist, then you have to move to another specialist. and they don't speak to each other.
I mean high networs they have a lot of anxiety. they have they cannot be themsel and that's the biggest thing the biggest gift you can give to someone else is if you can show them how to be authentic
I was running for the next closing. I was running for the next business I can go in. And you know what? It only suses you for a while. You have to be more balanced.
Burnout doesn’t discriminate. Even the most successful people can lose themselves to pressure, expectations, and constant performance.
We [HNWIs] compare ourselves with our peers and also with our parents or grandparents, we want to achieve the same, or if someone inherits a lot of money or a business there's the pressure to perform and not to lose anything.
Look we are experts as entrepreneurs in solving external problems, leading people and making innovations but we lack the capability of managing ourselves and our time and setting boundaries.
Hundert-zwanzig, Hundert-undzwanzig Leute, Therapeuten, gesamthaft.
I've written a book living a life and balance so you can find it also on Amazon and I'm writing a next book currently uh which will be out early next year probably
I run a podcast on mental health.
I run I started the the the balance rehab clinic about um seven seven years ago.
I love AI. I love AI. I use AI. We have incorporated AI throughout our our business.
I’ve worked closely to bring the wisdom of Living a Life in Balance to life not only as a book and podcast, but now also as a digital companion.
Because people may appreciate your clarity, but they will always remember how you made them feel.
A reminder that before being a leader, a manager, an entrepreneur, or an expert, we must 'Be Human First'.
The lesson here wasn't only about communication. It was about presence.
This recognition reflects the dedication, compassion, and expertise of our teams across Mallorca and Zurich, and the trust placed in us by those we serve.
If our work and mission have resonated with you, I would be truly grateful for your support. Voting is now open, and you can cast your vote through the links below.
Thank you for your trust and for being part of this journey with us.
For many years, THE BALANCE Rehab Clinic has been dedicated to supporting individuals and families through some of life's most challenging moments.
If our work has touched or inspired you in any way, we would be truly grateful for your support. Voting is now open, and you can cast your vote through the links mentioned in this post.
These nominations represent far more than recognition. They reflect the trust of our clients and families, the dedication of our teams, and the compassionate care that stands at the heart of everything we do.
If you recognize that feeling, don’t ignore it. You don’t need to wait for things to fall apart to take it seriously.
In our work at The Balance, I’ve seen that it helps to slow things down at that point. Keep decisions small, write things down, wait before making bigger moves, and let someone you trust reflect things back to you.
A few days after publication, my new book "Be Human First" has reached #1 across multiple Amazon categories: #1 in Mental Illness & Mental Health #1 in Psychological Pathologies #1 in Communication & Social Skills #1 in Counseling & Psychology #1 in Interpersonal Relations
I’m grateful to everyone who has taken the time to read, share, and engage with the work.
Real power isn’t in holding everything together. It’s in knowing you don’t have to.
Therapeutic teams model the emotional environment they hope to create. Respect, emotional regulation, and empathy within the team directly shape the quality of connection in therapy, recovery support, and overall patient care.
Compassion cannot be scripted. It grows within the team's culture. When staff feel supported, understood, and treated with humanity, that care naturally carries into their work with clients in mental health care and addiction treatment.
This acknowledgment reflects our commitment to private, clinically governed care for complex mental health and addiction, delivered with depth, discretion, and responsibility.
Thank you, Spear's Magazine, for this recognition and for highlighting excellence in wellbeing and rehabilitation for high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals worldwide.
The Balance RehabClinic has been named among "The Best Wellbeing and Rehabilitation Centres of 2026, featured in the #SpearsIndex.
I remain optimistic about continuing to raise the standard of care in addiction and mental health treatment.
The work we do in addiction and mental health care is meaningful and demanding. Every day, our teams support individuals and families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives, work that requires not only expertise, but presence, flexibility, and compassion.
I am deeply grateful to our teams, partners, and collaborators for the professionalism and commitment that made this possible, and to the clients and families who place their trust in us.
This year marked an important phase of growth for us, with expansion into Marbella, London, and strenghtening our Zurich location, alongside our established foundation in Mallorca.
Laufen, Gym, Tennis, Yoga.
Was ist meine Vergangenheit?
Deswegen braucht man ja Hilfe.
Heute weiß man, was man dazu erwarten hat.
Aber was heißt gesund?
Weil ...
Also da gibt es Netzwerke.
So solche Sachen.
I combine multiple mentalities today in c
I think sharing content is at some point um my authentic self to give something out to to the world and leave some legacy in one or the other way.
it's about communication and mental health because I believe communication is key when it comes to interaction whether in an organization with your employees, your staff. But I it's more than communication. It's really about understanding yourself and and your psychological background um which influences your way of communicating.
I don't have the appetite to rule the world. Not anymore. In this in this state of life I am.
And what I what I have figured out what would have been the best case in my case and that's what I've built up.
When I look at them, they are geniuses but at the same time they they need in this in this field of reflection support guidance and for that they need a safe environment where they can work through their issues.
I can be genius in in in their topic and what they do and problem solving but most of them they have one thing in common and they they neglect themselves.
And we have been growing quite rapidly. Today over 120 25 people in Zurich London Mayorca Marba.
So, so that's what drives me today. But it was a it was it quite a journey, Alina. I I needed to go deep to understand myself, understand the world. I studed psychology. I I went into the further studies to to to learn more what happened to me. What would I as an entrepreneur at that time would have expected from the health care system.
I love to come to Dubai. It's so vibrant and every time it's so changing, moving fast. Uh nice on one hand side on the other hand side it brings uh also some some downsides on mental health obviously
I've met more individual billionaires and high net worths individuals around the world than anyone else.
The biggest innovation is really to understand from a 360 degrees perspective what what is underlying what is your situation um on multiple levels mind body soul
the biggest innovation I I would say we do at the balance rehab clinic is to to tailor each program to individual needs, which is not happening in today's world.
quality comes before quantity and and the teams we build, the way we we create the service.
And after that I started my journey to understand where did this come from? How can I manage myself better? Because I I neglected my emotions, my feelings, my my way of living was completely uh not regulated.
Mayor Yorkca is where I spend most of my time on a farm with horses and chicken and um a different lifestyle than I used to in Zurich.
I was uh building startups and and investing in form of venture capital helping businesses flourish and grow until life happens to you, you know.
I was running businesses. I felt always being an entrepreneur.
AI will not replace human empathy and compassion and the need for human connection. And that's why our services needed
I consider it mutment program like ours something which puts you on track like on train and then you need to practice and you need to stay in contact so you get more life quality out of this life and that's what you want.
It's definitely physical in the beginning. Okay. However, we can continue uh online sessions uh afterwards.
I'm I'm I'm content.
I we certainly are looking at uh deeper GCC markets especially also Dubai but we are not at the stage to make a final decision yet.
I can honestly say I've never felt so welcome so quickly at a new company. If you embody that same kind of warmth and humanity, along with a deep service mindset, great attention to detail, and ability to multi-task under pressure, this could be the perfect role for you.
I'm looking for an exceptional Hospitality Manager to join our team in Mallorca. You'll be responsible for ensuring each of our clients enjoys an incredible experience at one of our private villas whilst receiving treatment with us.
Do the work by understanding yourself. If you do the work yourself, you are a better leader. Your business will be better.
At The Balance, we believe in harnessing AI to empower patients and clinicians alike, while never losing sight of the human heart at the core of healing. The future of healthcare is bright, but it’s up to us to ensure it remains profoundly human.
At The Balance, we focus on creating spaces where adults feel cared for—where colors, light, and small details help people relax, feel safe, and open up.
It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about supporting healing and well-being in a way traditional treatment spaces often don’t.
A healing environment should hold everyone who walks through it—both those seeking care and those offering it.
At our Palma Hub, the vision wasn’t only to create comfort and calm for clients—it was also about designing a place where the team feels at ease, where collaboration flows, and where spaces adapt to different needs.
I have discussed with our architects anySCALE founders Karin Hepp and Andreas Thomczyk the story behind this award-winning design
