We reflected on design as an evolving process — a form of Symbiosis between architect, hotelier, guest, and place, constantly shaped over time.
In that context, Philoxenia emerged not just as a cultural reference, but as a living principle that continues to inform how spaces are designed, experienced, and shared.
When Dexamenes°° Seaside Hotel was first envisioned, the goal was never simply to create a hotel, but to establish a platform — a space for creativity, exchange, and meaningful encounters.
all of this happened while the hotel was closed. And somehow, it felt more alive than ever. A pretty good way to energize a dormant space.
Grateful, slightly tired, and already looking forward to what grows next.
I felt it was my duty to preserve the history.
When I approached K-Studio, what mattered was a shared mindset. Minimal intervention. Respect for what exists. No interest in overdesign.
I wasn't looking for something new to be imposed, but for a way to reveal what was already there.
Looking back, what I value most is how consistent that approach remained—across the architecture, the spaces, even the way we think about food.
Everything follows that initial intention.

From sea to shore, beach to WineTanks, and finally to the Seaview Terrace Suites. At Dexamenes°° Seaside Hotel architecture reveals each layer of the past — translating the former winery into spaces to experience today.
The coast is slowly shifting into a new rhythm.
Along the beachfront, the Seaview Terrace Suites are now fully operating — private terraces, direct views to the sea, and the quiet simplicity that defines Dexamenes.

Today, the project has expanded in so many ways — in scale, in experiences, and in the paths it has opened — and revisiting this moment feels like a quiet reminder of how far the journey has come.
As Dexamenes°° Seaside Hotel continues to grow, so does the team behind it.
We’re currently looking for a Sales & Marketing Supervisor to help us strengthen our international presence, build meaningful relationships with the travel trade, and contribute creatively to how Dexamenes is shared with the world.
This role is hybrid, based in Athens (remote), with time spent at the hotel during peak summer periods, fam trips, and key events.
It’s ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on work, and who values long-term partnerships as much as strong brand storytelling.
We talked about the shift you feel moving from the beach into the WineTank Suites—how acoustics, silence, and the building's “memory” can slow the body down and deepen rest.
We reflected on the project's guiding balance: meeting safety and comfort without sterilizing the patina, the cracks, and the honest traces of a century.
We also discussed food as culture and as “activism”: the fragile knowledge of seeds, fermentation, preservation, and home economies—traditions that can disappear under standardization if we don’t protect them with responsibility.
And finally, we touched on what matters most for Kourouta and the wider region: growth with limits, hospitality with measure, and tourism that participates in a place rather than consuming it.
